MOUNTAIN CAVES

The story of…

During one of my last holidays I gat the chance to spend some time Georgia and visit the mountain monasteries.
These are large mountain sides with a multitude of caves created to serve as monasteries and villages. These prints where inspired by these mountains as they completely mesmerized me when I was there. To imagine people made there lives in those mountains seems for a city-girl a bit strange yet very beautiful.

In the image below I wanted to show a bit more of the complexity of building these caves. With a playful folding of the paper while making this print.
